The FENCEBOX® high tensile Rombo Mesh is a 3mm (0.118 inch) wire that has a 2800 lb breaking strength.

  • This is superior to heavy industrial 6 gauge galvanized chain link mesh and more than twice the strength of 9 gauge chain link mesh.
  • The unit breaking strength of the wire is 256ksi or 256,000 pounds per square inch.
  • Because it is high tensile, Rombo Mesh is more flexible and has greater flexibility than chain link as well. The mesh has a 95% zinc and 5% Aluminum coating.

This gives Rombo Mesh a number of advantages:

  1. Higher resistance to breaking under both static and dynamic loads
  2. Higher cutting resistance. A minimum of 14″ bolt cutters are required to cut through Rombo Mesh
  3. Greater resistance to permanent deformation unlike chain link mesh which is apt to become deformed over time, particularly after sustaining high loads or impact. Therefore Rombo mesh will look and last much longer while able to sustain a great deal of abuse.
